2015 Year-End Awards and Results

Dear fellow Lipizzan Owners and Enthusiasts,

The moment you've been waiting for has arrived: announcement of the recipients of the 2015 Lipizzan Laurels and Stars Awards and the USDF/USLF All-Breed Awards.

The Lipizzan Laurels Program closed out its inaugural year on October 31. This program was designed by the Awards Committee to acknowledge and reward Lipizzans for their achievements competing in a wide variety of horse sports, to highlight the versatility of a breed primarily know for it's prowess in the dressage ring, and to help promote the Lipizzan to equestrians who may be unfamiliar with them.

We are thrilled with the response of the Lipizzan community to this new program! In the first year, we had 26 members enroll 27 horses in the Laurels. That is over ten percent of our membership. Wow! You can increase that percentage by enrolling your horse for the 2015-2016 season.  All the information you need is on our website at uslipizzan.org/laurels-award-program.

This was also an excellent year for horses participating in the USDF/USLF All-Breed Awards Program. We have Lipizzans receiving awards at Training through Fourth Level, plus Grand Prix.  In addition to Open, Adult Amateur, Musical Freestyle, and Vintage Cup riders, we also had a Junior/Young Rider submit qualifying scores this year.

Thank you to everyone who participated in these Programs in 2015 and congratulations to our Award Winners!
